PIDFLIGHT LAP DOWNLOADS

There are two applications available to manage and use the lap timing devices:

  • Android
  • Cross-platform GUI app for Chrome, Windows, macOS and Linux

There are three variations of the firmware available for the following lap timing device schematics:

  • PIDflight Lap
  • EasyRaceLapTimer Pocket Edition
  • Chorus RF Lap Timer

FIRMWARE

The PIDflight Lap firmware is available for the original PIDflight Lap schematic, EasyRaceLapTimer PocketEdition and Chorus RF Lap Timer.

PIDflight Lap

Please use this firmware if you are using the original PIDflight PCB or have built your own using the published PIDflight schematic.

Please note the Bluetooth TX/RX must be disconnected from the Arduino Nano to flash the firmware successfully.

EasyRaceLapTimer PocketEdition

Please use this firmware if you are using an EasyRaceLapTimer PocketEdition or a PCB based on the same schematic.

  • Bluetooth software serial on D6 (RX) and D7 (TX) pins using baud rate 9600.
  • RSSI on A7 pin.

Chorus RF Lap Timer

Please use this firmware if you have a build based on the Chorus RF Lap Timer schematic.

  • Bluetooth hardware serial on RX and TX using baud rate 115200.
  • RSSI on A3 pin.
  • No buzzer support.

APP

The PIDflight Lap companion app for the PIDflight VTx Lap Timing device and compatible hardware.

  • Premium edition is a yearly subscription of US$3.99 and includes all updates and multiple pilot support.
  • Free edition is limited to display and announce the first three (3) laps for a single (1) lap timing device.

GUI

The PIDflight Lap cross-platform Chrome, Windows, Linux and macOS application is provided free of charge.

Release candidate version: 2.0.6-RC3 with Tiny View Plus support, race countdown and device status indicators on race screen.

21/4/2018 — There are known issues in 2.0.6 with the race countdown function on Windows and potentially macOS. A resolution is in progress and a new update will be published soon.

30/4/2018 — Race countdown issues have been addressed in 2.0.6-RC3.
